Fish Gigging Rules and Regulations
Missouri Fish Gigging Season
Wednesday, September 15, 2010 through Monday, January 31, 2011
Non-game fish are allowed to be taken by gig for the above mentioned span of time, from Sunrise to Midnight. The only licensing requirement is a valid fishing license.
In my area of Southeast Missouri, the Current River from Cedar Grove to the Arkansas State Line, the limit on fish is: 5 Hog Suckers with a total of 20 fish per licensed person.
Some areas of Missouri have special regulations for gigging. Check the Missouri Conservation Regulations for specific rules in other areas.
